Bristol Machine Works, Limited
Bristol Machine Works Limited is located in Sudbury, Ontario,
Canada. Sudbury is a major Canadian mining community with a
large Forestry Industry in the area.
The company operates from a (new in 1990) 31,000 sq.ft. (2,900
sq. meter) plant and has 62 employees. The facility is
designated to operate with approximately 70 employees.
The shop area is served by 6 overhead cranes ranging from 3 ton
to 20 ton capacity with a 21" (7 meter) hook to floor height.
The plant functions as a medium to large machine shop with
equipment ranging from conventional turning lathes to large
vertical turning and milling equipment. This range of equipment
includes fully computerized turning and milling capabilities.
The office functions of Bristol are fully computerized and are
geared to service production orders and inventory controls as
well as specialized projects.
